Rêve d’Égée began as a personal vision of the Aegean—a place where sea and sky meet without interruption, whitewashed houses glow beneath drifting clouds, and vivid bougainvillea spills across sun-warmed stone.

Azure blue, luminous white, vibrant pink, and touches of olive green move across the candle’s surface in layered wax. The colors do not form a literal landscape; instead, they hold its atmosphere—the clarity of open water, the softness of passing clouds, the brilliance of island flowers, and the quiet romance of a place suspended between light and sea.

As the first hand-painted art pillar created for the Poème en Cire collection, Rêve d’Égée holds a special place within the Zenaural studio. Sculptural, expressive, and deeply personal, it embodies the color language that first defined the collection.

Artisanal Character

Every Rêve d’Égée candle is a singular work—never repeated and impossible to reproduce exactly. Each piece is composed and painted entirely by hand, guided by the movement, temperature, and natural response of the wax at that particular moment.

Even as the founder and maker who created the original, I could not make two Rêve d’Égée candles exactly alike. The placement of every color, the formation of each wax layer, and the depth of every textured relief emerge differently with each pour.

Variations in color placement, wax texture, marbling, surface relief, and silhouette are therefore not imperfections, but the defining marks of an original work. Each candle preserves the movement of the wax and the presence of the hand that shaped it—ensuring that the piece you receive is yours alone.

Safety

Remove all tags and decorative ties before lighting. Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each burn. Burn within sight and keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable objects. Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
